Chhattisgarh CM's ex-deputy secy's bail in money laundering case rejected

A Raipur court on Friday rejected the bail plea of Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel's former Deputy Secretary Saumya Chaurasia in a money laundering case linked to coal levy scam. "The ground of the rejection was incomplete investigation of the case," Faizal Rizvi, Chaurasia's counsel, said. Chaurasia was arrested on December 2, 2022 by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
