Chhattisgarh couple skips pheras, takes oath on Constitution
A couple from Chhattisgarh's Kapu village solemnised their marriage by taking an oath on Indian Constitution, forgoing traditional 'sath pheras'. The couple exchanged vows before a portrait of Dr Ambedkar, known as the architect of the Indian Constitution, with their families and the community offering blessings. "This type of marriage saves on extravagant expenses," the groom, Eman Lahre, said.
