Chhattisgarh free from Naxalism, progressing: President Murmu

President Droupadi Murmu, addressing the Bastar Dussehra Festival 2026 in Jagdalpur, said Chhattisgarh has been freed from Naxalism through joint efforts of the Centre and state governments and is now rapidly progressing. She expressed confidence that tribal youth would contribute to India's development goals by 2047 and urged people to protect forests and plant more trees.
