Child dies, 60 others fall ill after eating pani puri in Jharkhand

At least one child died and over 60 people fell ill in two panchayats of Jharkhand's Giridih after suspected food poisoning linked to the consumption of pani puri, officials said. Villagers alleged that all those affected had consumed pani puri sold by same vendor, as per reports. Village head Jitendra Verma claimed that the vendor was detained but later released.
