Children face highest heat stroke risk amid severe heat

Experts have warned that infants and young children face the highest risk of heat stroke as temperatures soar across India. With several states recording nearly 45°C and Nautapa approaching, health authorities advised parents to keep children hydrated, indoors during peak afternoon hours, and watch for symptoms like fever, vomiting, irritability, and breathing difficulty.
