China asks rich people, companies to pay more taxes: Report

Chinese authorities are demanding more taxes from wealthy individuals and companies and asking them to "double-check" their tax liabilities and clear payments. They've asked to keep the evidence for inspection in case there was no liability. The move comes as local governments find ways to ramp up revenue to refill coffers depleted by a property slump, The Financial Times reported.
