China bans social media accounts of 1,120 COVID policy critics: Report
China has suspended or closed social media accounts of more than 1,000 critics of government's COVID-19 policies, The Associated Press reported. Sina Weibo platform reportedly said that it had addressed 12,854 violations and issued temporary or permanent bans on 1,120 accounts. This comes after China abandoned its 'Zero-COVID' policy and witnessed a rise in infections.
