China denies entry to German warship on South China Sea mission

China has denied a German warship on a mission to the South China Sea entry into a harbour, a German Foreign Ministry spokesperson said. The warship set sail from Germany last month for a six-month mission to the sea. Reacting to the incident, China said it hoped countries outside the region would respect regional countries' efforts to maintain peace, stability.
