China deploys Army in Hong Kong to clear roadblocks amid protests

China on Saturday deployed the Army in Hong Kong for the first time since the anti-government protests began there five months ago. The soldiers were seen cleaning up barricades and debris. The protests, which began in opposition to a now-withdrawn bill to allow the extradition of criminals to mainland China, have now transformed into protesters demanding more democratic measures.
