China expanding secret airfield amid race to develop 6th-gen aircraft: Reports

China is rapidly expanding a secret desert airfield in its western region to serve as a major test centre for its most advanced military aircraft, reports said. Satellite images of the facility near Lop Nur show four large new hangars, taxiway work, circular pad, and possible fuel-storage infrastructure. This comes amid China and US' race to develop 6th-generation combat aircraft.
