China expels 2 top generals over disloyalty and corruption

China has reportedly expelled two senior military figures, Zhang Youxia and Liu Zhenli, from the Communist Party and armed forces, accusing them of disloyalty and corruption. Zhang served as vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission and was considered one of President Xi Jinping's closest allies. Liu was also a CMC member and headed its Joint Staff Department.
