China halts permits for US beef exporters hours after renewing them: Report

China has halted export permits for hundreds of US beef plants on Thursday, hours after approving them amid President Donald Trump's visit, Reuters reported. Around 400 US beef exporters lost eligibility over the past year as permissions granted by China expired without renewal. Their status on Chinese customs website was listed as "effective" on Thursday but later returned to "expired".
