China now has world's largest navy with 350 ships and submarines, says US

The US Department of Defence said China has the world's largest navy with approximately 350 ships and submarines, whereas the US Navy has 293 ships. China is increasing its shipbuilding capacity and capability for all naval classes, it said. China's navy is largely composed of modern multirole platforms featuring advanced anti-ship, anti-air, and anti-submarine weapons and sensors, it added.
