China probe finds 1st on-site proof of water on Moon's surface: Study

China's Chang'e 5 lunar lander has found the "first-ever on-site evidence" of water on Moon's surface, a study published in Science Advances claimed. The lander detected signs of water molecules or hydroxyl. Chang'e 5 analysed the composition of regolith in close proximity to its landing site and found most of the soil had water concentration of less than 120 ppm.
