China probes DeepSeek, Moonshot for routing data to Anthropic: Report

China has launched a probe into local startups DeepSeek and Moonshot AI for allegedly routing sensitive user queries to Anthropic's Claude models, The Information reported. This comes after Anthropic accused Chinese AI firms of using proxy networks and fake accounts to access Claude and extract its potential at scale. Anthropic said some requests were routed to Claude without users' consent.
