China releases white paper on COVID-19, claims virus may have emerged in US

China has released a white paper on COVID-19 prevention, control and origins tracing, according to its state media. In the paper, China accused US of shifting the blame for its mismanaged COVID-19 response and "shamelessly politicising" SARS-CoV-2 origins tracing. It also suggested that the next origin tracing should take place in US as the virus may have emerged there.
