China's MiniMax unveils AI model M3 for complex coding tasks

Chinese AI startup MiniMax unveiled its flagship AI model M3 as it expands into coding agents and automated workflows. M3 can process up to 1 million tokens at once, five times more than its predecessor M2.7, letting it handle long, complex programming tasks. According to MiniMax, M3 beat OpenAI's GPT-5.5 and Google's Gemini 3.1 Pro on coding benchmark SWE-Bench Pro.
