China's President Xi wishes India on R-Day, calls nations 'good neighbours, friends'

Chinese President Xi Jinping extended greetings to India on its 77th Republic Day. In a message to President Droupadi Murmu, Xi called China and India "good neighbours and friends", and referred to them as "dragon and elephant doing tango", a phrase China uses to describe relations with India. He noted their ties have continued to improve over the past year.
