China's solar export curbs may boost India's domestic manufacturing: Report

China's proposed restrictions on 12 solar PV manufacturing technologies could accelerate India's upstream solar manufacturing, as per JM Financial. While structurally positive, India's dependence on Chinese equipment, chemicals and software poses near-term risks. Companies moving into cell, wafer and ingot production may benefit most; higher costs could also push India to relax its ALMM-II mandate beyond December 2026.
