China sanctions US congress members, govt officials and NGO heads

China said on Monday that it has imposed sanctions on some US congress members, government officials and heads of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) for "egregious behaviour on Hong Kong-related issues". "Any wrong action taken by US...will be met with....reciprocal counteraction," China's foreign ministry said. It comes after the US sanctioned six Chinese and Hong Kong officials last month.
