China sends artificial embryos to space to find out possibility of reproduction

China has become the first nation to send "human artificial embryos" to space to find out whether reproduction is possible in zero gravity. The embryos have been developed using living stem cells and function like real human embryos. However, they cannot develop into a foetus, as they are not real human embryos. The embryos will be observed for five days.
