China to give unique digital ID to every humanoid robot

China has launched a national programme to assign a unique digital identity code to every humanoid robot in the country. The code will help authorities and manufacturers to track the humanoid robots throughout their lifecycle and improve oversight into the robotics industry. Over 28,000 robots across 200 models have already been assigned an ID, South China Morning Post reported.
