China to launch first low-Earth orbit satellites in Sept: Report

Chinese state-owned spacecraft and missile manufacturer China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation will launch the first low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellites of a planned constellation in September, Global Times reported on Thursday. However, it didn't say how many satellites will be deployed. This is China's latest bid to catch up with SpaceX's Starlink, operated by billionaire Elon Musk.
