China to send humanitarian aid worth 5 million yuan to Ukraine

The Chinese Red Cross will send humanitarian assistance worth 5 million yuan (over ₹6 crore) to Ukraine, said the Chinese foreign ministry on Wednesday. The announcement comes amid the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which has resulted in lakhs of Ukrainians fleeing the country. The country is also facing shortage of food, water and electricity.
