China unveils new guidelines to ensure AI is safe & controllable

China has unveiled new guidelines to ensure AI remains "safe, reliable and controllable" as the country seeks breakthroughs in AI theory and core technologies. It will fully implement "AI Plus" initiative, expand AI-powered vehicles, devices and humanoid robots while promoting disruptive innovation. China also warned against speculative investment, industrial overcapacity and technology bubbles.
