China wants military base in B'desh, Myanmar, Sri-Lanka: US report

China is actively considering military bases in multiple countries, including India's neighbouring countries like Bangladesh, Myanmar and Sri-Lanka, according to a Pentagon report submitted to the US Congress. Currently, China officially operates only one overseas military base in East Africa's Djibouti, which was established in 2017. Pakistan is also on China's list, the report added.
