China's UCWeb fires staff in India after UC Browser, other apps banned: Reuters

Chinese company Alibaba's subsidiary UCWeb fired employees in India after the government's ban on 59 mobile apps that include UCWeb's browser and two other products, according to a company letter seen by Reuters. UCWeb operates UC Browser, UC News and short video app VMate. "This termination is on account of the ban imposed on UCWeb and VMate," the letter said.
