Chinese AI models have outpaced US rivals in global token consumption, according to OpenRouter's weekly data. DeepSeek V4 Flash leads with 4.89 trillion tokens consumed, while Anthropic's Claude Opus 4.7 is the only US model in the top five at 2.71 trillion tokens. Other Chinese models in the top five include MiniMax M3, Xiaomi's MiMo-V2.5, and Tencent's Hy3 preview.
