Chinese city starts testing 47L residents after new COVID-19 cases

Kashgar city in China's Xinjiang region has launched mass COVID-19 testing for its 47 lakh residents after a 17-year-old tested positive for coronavirus. Around 137 new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases have been detected in the city, all of them linked to a garment factory where the teenager's parents work. Nearly 30 lakh residents have been tested so far, officials said.
