Chinese covert influence operation gets exposed after official uses ChatGPT

A Chinese law enforcement official accidentally exposed a covert influence operation by using ChatGPT for documentation, planning and editing periodic status reports, as per OpenAI. It stated the operations were against domestic and foreign adversaries, especially critics of the ruling CCP. The user once even asked ChatGPT to polish a campaign against the now Japanese PM Sanae Takaichi, it added.
