Chinese electric car startup Byton raises $500 million

Chinese electric car startup Byton has raised $500 million in a Series B funding round to develop smart, connected cars. Investors including FAW Group, Tus-Holdings, and CATL also participated in the funding round. The startup aims to begin delivering cars to Chinese customers by the end of next year and in the US by 2020.
