Chinese research vessel Da Yang Hao enters the Indian Ocean

The Chinese research vessel Da Yang Hao is moving into the Indian Ocean, declaring Port Louis as its destination, with operations linked to the broader Maldives region. Equipped with an autonomous underwater vehicle, the ship is officially tasked with ocean research. This marks the sixth Chinese research vessel to enter the region since October 2025.
