Chinese shares fall to 1-year low amid tech selloff

Chinese shares hit a one-year low on Monday as technology stocks sold off following reports that authorities may allow Nvidia chip purchases and proposed US sanctions on foreign optical producers. The CSI 300 Index fell as much as 2.4%, while chipmakers Cambricon and GigaDevice and optical firms Zhongji Innolight and Eoptolink dropped at least 5% each.
