A quickfire 96 by Chris Gayle helped RCB start their IPL season with a win over KKR on Saturday. Batting first, Kolkata made a strong start with Gambhir's 58(46) while Andre Rusell's 41(17) powered them to 177/6. In reply, Gayle almost ran out of partners as wickets fell steadily at the other end, finally winning with an over to spare.
