Christopher Columbus is one of the greatest explorers in history. His navigations and introduction of new lands to Europe changed the course of world history and gave rise to rapid colonial expansions. Columbus completed four Spanish-based voyages across the Atlantic Ocean. It paved the way for Europe to explore and colonise America.
