Chrysanthemums grown by Kangra farmer fetch ₹200 per kg

Record chrysanthemum cultivation by an innovative farmer of Kangra, Balbir Saini, fulfilled the heavy flower demand at the Shaktipeeths of Brajeshwari, Chamunda Devi, Jwalamukhi and Baglamukhi during the Navratras, creating new income avenues. Saini successfully raised 5,000 off-season chrysanthemum plants and sold the blooms at ₹200 per kg amid the peak festive demand.
