Cisco buys US software company BroadSoft for $1.9 billion

Cisco Systems on Monday said it will acquire US software company BroadSoft in a deal valued at about $1.9 billion (over ₹12,340 crore), including debt. The acquisition is expected to close during the first quarter of 2018, the company said in a statement. This is Cisco's second major acquisition this year following a $3.7 billion deal for AppDynamics in March.
