Citadel posts highest-ever annual profit of $16 billion in hedge fund history
Billionaire Ken Griffin's Citadel posted $16 billion profit for its investors last year, outperforming the rest of the industry. The US-based company's gain was the largest annual return for a hedge fund manager in history, surpassing the $15 billion profit generated by John Paulson in 2007 on his bet against subprime mortgages. Notably, Citadel manages $54 billion in assets.
