Citizens shouldn't blame BMC for Mumbai flooding, it's our own creation: Bombay HC

Bombay High Court said citizens should not blame the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for Mumbai's monsoon waterlogging. "We've an uncanny knack for grabbing lands...We put all the dirt and material inside that, we block the gutters...One small spell of rain blocks the roads...It's our own creation," the court said. It added that encroachments and clogged drains have worsened flooding.
