Civil Aviation Ministry gives clearance to Sabarimala airport

Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) has granted site clearance for the new 'Greenfield Airport' project in Kerala's Kottayam district which is close to the Sabarimala temple. The Kottayam Greenfield Airport project will be developed on over 2,250-acre land on a Public-Private Partnership model. "Great news for tourism and especially spiritual tourism," PM Narendra Modi tweeted reacting to the news.
