CJI Kant forms 4 special benches to hear SC's oldest cases: Report

Chief Justice of India Surya Kant has reportedly constituted four special Supreme Court benches to exclusively hear the court's oldest civil and criminal cases. The benches will devote three working days every week to these matters without handling regular miscellaneous hearings, Hindustan Times reported. Around 200 of the oldest cases have been identified for each of the four benches.
