CJI Surya Kant condemns casteist statement falsely attributed to him, calls it 'mischievous'

Chief Justice of India Surya Kant condemned a casteist statement circulating on social media that was falsely attributed to him. Calling it a "fictitious quote", the Chief Justice described it as "vile, brazen, and mischievous." He added that such reckless conduct strikes at the very foundation of public trust in the judiciary and the rule of law.
