In a viral video, CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka was confronted by angry protesters for "sitting in an AC room" as youth were being lathi-charged. "Why did you and Saurav Das sit in an AC room. Apologise to everyone," the protesters were heard saying. "You are trying to instigate the people who are here. Don't do that," Ranka replied.
