Claims, objections in SIR can be filed beyond Sept 1: EC to SC

The Election Commission on Monday told Supreme Court that claims and objections for inclusion or exclusion of voter names in Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar can be filed beyond September 1 deadline. The poll body submitted that claims and objections can be filed till the last date of nomination forms in each Assembly constituency.
