Clashes erupt outside Yunus' residence 6 days before B'desh polls

Violent clashes erupted outside Bangladesh Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus' residence in Dhaka on Friday, six days before the general election. The protesters were demanding the implementation of the Ninth National Pay Scale and chanted 'there is no rice in the stomach'. The police fired water cannons, tear gas, and sound grenades to disperse the crowd.
