Class 6-8 students of Bihar school march 4 km to protest lack of basic facilities, probe ordered

Around 50 Class 6-8 students of Simuara Middle School in Bihar’s Gaya marched nearly 4 km to the Tikari SDM office, protesting poor mid-day meals, drinking water, toilets, electricity, fans, uniforms and teaching. Officials ordered an inquiry and a surprise inspection. The headmaster and seven teachers were served show-cause notices and their salaries for the protest day were withheld.
