Claude AI performs brain surgery without any human help

US-based startup Exin Therapeutics announced that Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 5 successfully performed brain surgery on a mouse without human help. CEO Gabriel Ocana-Santero said Sonnet was tasked with reducing seizures in the rat and picked the drug and the targeted brain region by itself before injecting 250 nanolitres over five minutes. It also used a camera to check for bleeding.
