Clean air is fundamental need, not luxury: NGT Chairperson

Speaking at fifth ‘Swachh Vayu Sarvekshan Awards’, NGT Chairperson Justice Prakash Shrivastava said clean air is a fundamental need, not environmental luxury. While real-time monitoring helps to curb pollution, behavioural change and awareness are equally important to ensure next generations live in a clean environment, he said. Development and environmental conservation can go together, he added.
