Clear salary arrears before privatisation: Air India pilots
Air India's largest pilot union on Wednesday asked the Centre to clear their salary arrears before the privatisation of the national carrier. The Indian Commercial Pilots' Association demanded their "illegally withheld 25% flying allowances and related allowances". Air India, which resorted to salary cuts as part of a turnaround plan in 2012, reportedly owes ₹1,200 crore to 27,000 employees.
