Climate change increases pregnancy complication risks: Study

A Climate Central report reveals that from 2020 to 2024, climate change doubled pregnancy heat-risk days globally. Exposure to extreme heat raises risks of complications like preterm birth. The biggest increases in pregnancy heat-risk days were in developing countries where access to healthcare is limited, like in the Caribbean, Central and South America, sub-Saharan Africa.
